History of Swan Island NetworksSwan Island Networks is named in honor of Oregon’s Swan Island shipyards, where the first Liberty ships were built in Oregon. The story of the Liberty ships—the nearly 3,000 ships built during World War II to carry supplies to the Allies—is the story of how America’s private industrial sector and its home-grown workforce exemplified a “can-do” spirit, working with the government and military to meet the deadly challenge aimed at the world…and prevailing. That same “can-do” spirit is what drives Swan Island Networks. Founded in 2002, Swan Island Network’s mission is to deliver advanced solutions to protect people, property, information and operations. By providing public and private safety information sharing solutions to Fortune 500 corporations, as well as local, state, federal and international governments, Swan Island Networks continues to deliver the leading sensitive information sharing and Community of Trust solutions. |
